Shantae Haymer is a senior paralegal in Varghese Summersett’s Personal Injury Division , where she assists our attorneys in all aspects of personal injury litigation. Shantae has been working as a paralegal for nearly two decades and is highly experienced in a wide range of areas, including case management, legal research, document preparation, and factual investigation.

Shantae is perfectly suited for this profession, as she is driven, detail-oriented, patient, and knowledgeable about the law and legal proceedings. She has exceptional communication skills that enable her to effectively collaborate with attorneys, claims representatives, witnesses, and experts.

Shantae is also very compassionate and serves as the liaison between clients and attorneys, ensuring that all communication is clear and concise and that clients feel comfortable, supported, and informed during what is often a difficult journey. She is dedicated to providing our clients with the highest level of service and achieving the best possible outcome in their case.

Raised in Irving, Shantae knew as a child that she wanted to go into the legal field after watching the O.J. Simpson trial. She pursued legal studies at the Jack E. Singley Academy as a teenager while also attending Irving High School. She received an Associate of Arts and Sciences Degree in Paralegal Studies from Tarrant County College. She began working as a paralegal while in college and has never looked back, honing her skills and becoming a highly sought-after paralegal by North Texas law firms.

Outside of work, Shantae enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her husband and two children. She can also frequently be found in the stands at softball games, cheering on her 16-year-old daughter, and at baseball games, rooting on her 12-year-old son.

“Personal injury law is not just a profession for me. It’s my passion. Helping clients get justice and seeing their life improve after a successful case is extremely rewarding. It’s why I love my job.” – Shantae Haymer, Senior Paralegal, Varghese Summersett Injury Law Group.
