Varghese Summersett PLLC is committed to ensuring that our website, versustexas.com, is accessible to people with disabilities. We believe that everyone — including individuals who use assistive technologies such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, voice recognition software, and alternative input devices — should be able to access information about our legal services and contact our firm.
Conformance Status
We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities. Conformance with these guidelines also helps make the Site more user-friendly for everyone.
This Site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. “Partially conformant” means that some parts of the content do not yet fully conform to the accessibility standard. We are actively working to identify and remediate any areas that fall short.
Measures We Take
Varghese Summersett takes the following measures to ensure accessibility:
- Including accessibility as part of our website design and content standards
- Providing alternative text for meaningful images
- Structuring content with proper headings, landmarks, and semantic HTML
- Designing for keyboard navigation
- Maintaining sufficient color contrast between text and backgrounds
- Designing forms with clear labels and error messages
- Periodically reviewing the Site for accessibility issues and remediating them as they are identified
Known Limitations
Despite our efforts to make the Site accessible, some content may not yet be fully accessible. Known limitations may include older video content without captions or transcripts, certain third-party embedded content (such as chat tools, map widgets, or reviews widgets) over which we have limited control, and PDF documents that were created prior to our current accessibility practices. We are working to address these limitations.
Third-Party Content
Portions of the Site rely on third-party tools and embedded content (for example, intake chat tools, call tracking widgets, review platforms, mapping services, and video players). While we choose vendors with accessibility in mind where reasonably possible, we do not control the accessibility of all third-party content and cannot guarantee its conformance with WCAG.
Requesting Assistance or Reporting an Accessibility Issue
If you experience any difficulty accessing any part of the Site, or if you have suggestions for how we can improve accessibility, please contact us. We welcome your feedback and will work with you to provide the information, service, or transaction you seek through an accessible communication method.
When reporting an issue, it helps us if you can include:
- The web address (URL) of the page where you experienced the issue
- A description of the problem
- The assistive technology, browser, and operating system you were using, if known
- Your preferred method of contact for a response
We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within five business days and will work to resolve identified issues promptly.
