Mitch Monthie

Mitch Monthie is an associate attorney at Varghese Summersett, where he vigorously defends clients accused of criminal offenses. Prior to becoming a defense attorney, Mitch served as a prosecutor for the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office where he handled hundreds of cases and tried more than 30 criminal jury trials. He now applies that experience and insider knowledge to criminal defense, zealously representing individuals who have been charged with offenses such as DWI, drugs, theft, domestic violence and assault. He also handles expunctions and non-disclosures for the firm, helping clients keep their record clean. Mitch brings invaluable skills to the Varghese Summersett team and is fierce advocate for the underdog. In 2023, he was named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers magazine.
