If you have been charged with a misdemeanor in Tarrant County, your attorney may ask you to complete an ACC Anger Management course. ACC stands for Anger Control Counseling, which is an anger management course designed for individuals facing criminal charges.
ACC courses typically teach individuals how to express anger in a constructive manner. This begins with being aware of anger by noticing triggers. Next, the student is taught how to relax and deal with anger in a non-destructive way. ACC courses typically teach individuals how to express anger in a constructive manner. A Long ACC (Anger Control Counseling) Course typically involves multiple one-hour sessions over the course of weeks. While each course provider is different, this often takes 8-12 weeks to complete.
A Short ACC (Anger Control Counseling) Course is usually a one-day anger management course that can be completed in six to eight hours. Be sure to check with your attorney before taking the Short ACC course instead of the Long ACC Course.
