      Client Relations Specialist

We are not your average law firm; this is no average job description.

We want people who love people and want to work specifically for our firm. We know the application process is more involved than most, but it is because we are looking for folks looking for a long-term home and even ones who believe Varghese Summersett is their “end game.”

To be considered for this position, you must follow the instructions on this page to the letter.

The Client Relations Specialist position is how you get your foot in the door at Varghese Summersett.

For over a decade, we have built a reputation for delivering unparalleled results and unmatched service. In fact, those are two of our core values.

We are protective of our people – both our clients and each other. (Another core value.) So we’re pretty particular about who we invite to be on the team.

We want you here in this position if:

      1. You love people. We help them during the toughest times of their lives, and we provide a level of service that goes beyond anything in our industry. We call this connecting with compassion (and there’s our fourth core value, if you’re counting).
      2. You are tech-savvy. We leverage technology to enhance the client journey. New tools and new processes mean you have to be able to adapt as technology changes to stay on the cutting edge of the level of service we provide our clients.
      3. You must be drama-free. We have cultivated a drama-free workplace. We are big believers in being accountable to ourselves and taking responsibility for the things we can change.
      4. You love working hard and being rewarded for it. Our goal is to nurture the best of the best. You’ll hear us say we want to be end game for our people – the place they come and stay because they couldn’t imagine working anywhere else.

What will you do as a Client Relations Specialist?

You are the first point of contact for callers and visitors. Being positive and compassionate even during the most difficult of times is what this position calls for.

It is often fast-paced, but it’s important we still pay attention to detail. If you can’t multi-task, this wouldn’t be an ideal role for you.

      Daily Job Duties:

      • Answer a high volume of incoming calls to the firm. These include calls from potential clients who need help as well as existing clients who may have a question or need to be connected with a specialist.
      • You may be involved with taking payments, sending updates, coordinating meetings, and following up with clients or potential clients. You will assist in maintaining attorney calendars.
      • Depending on your strengths, talents, and interests the progression from this position would be into more administrative work or sales. We’ve also had folks who went on to law school, and we are proud to have helped give them a leg up in that regard.

      Desired Qualifications

      • A great phone voice.
      • The ability to empathize and help people through the toughest of times
      • Attention to detail
      • Bachelor’s degree or proven experience in client relations – but we will make exceptions for exceptional candidates
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills
      • Friendly and welcoming personality
      • Problem-solving aptitude
      • Having a growth mindset (that’s the 5th and final core value!)
      • Excellent customer/client service skills
      • Ability to multitask and prioritize deadlines
      • Excellent organizational and time management skills
      • Ability to take on tasks and responsibilities outside the job description
      • Exhibit a self-starter mentality that can identify gaps in workflow and come up with creative solutions
      • Ability to embody our brand and company culture
      • Marketing experience is a plus
