Mary Ellen Pratt is the Marketing Associate at Varghese Summersett, where she brings energy, creativity, and strategy to every aspect of her role. She manages social media campaigns, develops engaging content for both digital and print platforms, and increases the firm’s visibility through events and sponsorships for all three divisions across all four office locations.

With a sharp eye for design and a natural talent for storytelling, Mary Ellen helps shape and share the firm’s voice while supporting its dynamic marketing initiatives. A true team player, she approaches each project with a positive attitude and a collaborative spirit that contributes to successful campaigns and lasting impressions.

Background

Mary Ellen was raised in Tomball, Texas, a suburb of Houston, and spent summers in Abbeville, Louisiana, where much of her family resides. She graduated from Tomball Memorial High School, where she was First Lieutenant of the drill team and a member of numerous clubs, including yearbook, National Honor Society, and the Sign Language Club. Outgoing and driven, she was one of those rare students who genuinely loved going to school every day.

Mary Ellen went on to attend Texas Christian University, earning a degree in Criminal Justice and Communications. While at TCU, she served as president of her sorority, Gamma Phi Beta, and danced competitively as a member of the university’s Elite Dance Team.

During her junior year, she interned with the marketing team at Varghese Summersett, where her talent and initiative led to a full-time offer after graduation. Prior to joining the firm, she also worked in Washington, D.C., in the U.S. Capitol under Congresswoman Kay Granger, then-head of the House Appropriations Committee.

When she’s not working, Mary Ellen enjoys reality TV, dancing, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Fun Fact: Mary Ellen and her family are hobbyist beekeepers, and she often gifts friends and colleagues with delicious homemade honey.
