Associate

Taylor Brumbaugh is an Associate in Varghese Summersett’s Personal Injury Division , where she helps clients who have been injured or lost loved ones due to the negligent or wrongful acts of others. With a passion for advocacy and sharp strategic focus, Taylor ensures that each case is built with strength and precision from the outset.

Known for her meticulous legal research, persuasive writing, and skilled negotiation, Taylor is dedicated to making a meaningful difference in clients’ lives — especially during times of crisis. As a skilled attorney on the personal injury team, Taylor helps clients navigate the complex legal system with clarity, empathy, and resolve, positioning their cases for maximum recovery.

Taylor’s legal career actually began at Varghese Summersett many years ago when she landed a position as a client relations specialist after college, even before applying to law school. Her determination, intelligence, and work ethic quickly set her apart — and it became clear that Varghese Summersett wouldn’t be a stepping stone for Taylor, but the path to becoming a leading attorney here.

Taylor is a true team player at the firm, always ready to collaborate with colleagues across divisions and step in wherever she’s needed to advance the firm’s mission of delivering exceptional results for clients.

Background

Taylor grew up in Bedford and graduated from L.D. Bell High School, where she served as captain of the cheerleading team and was an active participant in both competitive and school cheer.

After high school, Taylor attended Texas Christian University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism with a minor in business. Although she initially planned to pursue a career in journalism, the pandemic changed everything — giving her the time to study for the Law School Admission Test (LSAT) and ultimately pursue her dream of becoming an attorney.

Determined to gain valuable experience at a law firm before law school, Taylor joined Varghese Summersett as a client relations specialist — walking in one day, unannounced, with a resume in hand. Her initiative paid off.  She worked here for a year and a half before attending Texas Tech University School of Law, where she excelled.

During her time in law school, she returned to Varghese Summersett each summer to intern, gaining valuable experience in multiple practice areas. It was during her second summer that she discovered her niche in personal injury law — a field that perfectly aligned with her strengths and passions. She accepted a full-time offer with the firm after graduating and becoming a licensed attorney.

Now, as an attorney, Taylor brings the same tenacity and client-first approach that first got her foot in the door, using her early experience at the firm to anticipate clients’ needs and help them feel supported from day one.

In her free time, Taylor enjoys yoga, traveling, and hitting the slopes in Colorado each winter with her dad.

Fun Fact: Taylor makes handmade pasta and has made it her life’s mission to memorize every recipe passed down from her Nona and Aunt Angie, mastering both traditional and New York-style Italian cooking.
