Ashley Feldt
Associate
Ashley Feldt is an Associate in Varghese Summersett’s Criminal Defense Division, where she brings a wealth of experience as both a former prosecutor and seasoned trial attorney. Having worked both sides of the courtroom, Ashley has prosecuted and defended hundreds of misdemeanor and felony cases, giving her valuable insight into building the strongest defense strategies for her clients.
Before joining the firm, Ashley served as an Assistant District Attorney in both Denton and Dallas counties, trying a wide range of criminal cases. She also practiced civil litigation at a prominent firm where she represented major corporations in trucking accidents, catastrophic losses, and premises liability matters. Although successful in that field, Ashley’s true passion lies in criminal defense. She practiced alongside a former Denton County District Attorney before bringing her skills to Varghese Summersett.
Ashley is widely regarded as a fierce and strategic trial attorney. She is dedicated to ensuring her clients feel informed and empowered at every step of the legal process, which has led to countless favorable outcomes and earned her a reputation for excellence in the courtroom.
Background
Ashley grew up in Coppell in a family deeply rooted in the law. Her father, John Feldt, is a career prosecutor and Chief of the Civil Division at the Denton County District Attorney’s Office. Her younger sister is also an attorney, specializing in surety law.
Ashley attended Prestonwood Christian Academy in Plano, where she was captain of the drill team, before going on to Texas Christian University. At TCU, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in History and was a proud member of Kappa Alpha Theta
She received her Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law, where she sharpened her advocacy skills through mock trial and criminal trial advocacy clinics. After graduating, she immediately entered the legal field, where she has devoted her career to providing exceptional legal representation to individuals and families during the most difficult and uncertain times of their lives.
In her free time, Ashley enjoys hanging out with her English Bulldog, Wags, attending Formula 1 Races, kayaking on White Rock Lake, and trying new restaurants.
