Anna Summersett
Anna Summersett is a partner at Varghese Summersett, one of the largest and fastest-growing criminal defense firms in North Texas. She is a Board Certified Criminal Law Specialist and an experienced trial lawyer. Anna has handled thousands of criminal cases and tried more than 100 cases before Texas juries, ranging from DWI to capital murder.
Prior to going into private practice as a criminal defense attorney, Anna served as a prosecutor for the Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney’s Office and the Cameron County District Attorney’s Office.
Anna handles criminal cases from post-arrest investigations to jury trials. She is a highly regarded DWI lawyer who excels in jury trial and plea negotiations. She is also a member of numerous legal and community organizations and is very involved in philanthropic projects.
In 2023, Anna was named a Forty Under Forty by the Fort Worth Business Press, an annual list that recognizes 40 honorees, all under age 40, who are helping to shape Fort Worth’s future through their professional accomplishments and community involvement. She has also been a finalist in Fort Worth Inc. Magazine’s Entrepreneur of Excellence Awards, which recognizes and honors entrepreneurial owners of private companies in the Fort Worth area.
In 2019, Varghese Summesett was named the sixth fastest-growing company in Fort Worth and the 782nd fastest-growing company in the country. Since then, it has also been named a “Small Business of the Year” by the Fort Worth Chamber, a “Best Place to Work” by Fort Worth Inc. magazine, and recognized by the city of Fort Worth as a “Best Place for Working Parents.”
