Anna Summersett

Anna Summersett is a founding partner at Varghese Summersett, where she helps manage the business side of the firm. She is also a Board Certified Criminal Law Specialist and an experienced trial lawyer.

Anna has handled thousands of criminal cases and tried more than 100 cases before Texas juries, ranging from DWI to capital murder. Prior to going into private practice as a criminal defense attorney, Anna served as a prosecutor for the Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney’s Office and the Cameron County District Attorney’s Office.

Anna handles criminal cases from post-arrest investigations to jury trials. She is also a highly regarded DWI lawyer who excels in jury trial and plea negotiations.

In 2023, Anna was named a Forty Under Forty by the Fort Worth Business Press,  an annual list that recognizes 40 honorees, all under age 40, who are helping to shape Fort Worth’s future through their professional accomplishments and community involvement. She has also been a finalist in Fort Worth Inc. Magazine’s Entrepreneur of Excellence Awards, which recognizes and honors entrepreneurial owners of private companies in the Fort Worth area.

Under the leadership of Anna and her husband, Benson Varghese, who is the managing partner of the firm, Varghese Summersett has achieved has achieved significant milestones, including thrice being named as one of the fastest-growing businesses in the America by Inc. 5000 magazine; a Small Business of the Year by the Fort Worth Chamber; a best company to work for by Fort Worth Inc. for three consecutive years; and a “Best Place for Working Parents” by the city of Fort Worth.
