      Timothy M. Good

1/1/2025 Update: Tim Good is now the District Attorney for Johnson County.

Tim previously served as Of Counsel for Varghese Summersett. He is Board-Certified in Criminal Law, which puts him in an elite class of lawyers considered experts in their field. In fact, there are only 775 Board-Certified Criminal Law Specialists in the entire state of Texas — and just four total in Johnson and Somervell counties.

For the past decade, Good has served as a prosecutor and an advocate for the most vulnerable in society. He served for the last seven years as a prosecutor with the Johnson County District Attorney’s Office, handling hundreds of cases, including murder, domestic violence, drug possession, child pornography, and sexual abuse of children. Prior to that, he served with the Nueces County Attorney’s Office, representing CPS in emergency removal hearings and trials in cases of severe neglect and abuse of children.

      Background

A native of Texas, Good was born and raised in Fort Worth. He graduated from Grace Preparatory Academy in Arlington before earning his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. He attended law school at Liberty University in Virginia, where he received his Juris Doctor and met his future wife, Melanie. They currently live in Johnson County, where they are raising two young sons.
